SBIRT will explain the current approach to substance services and outlines changes to the model achieved through applying a public health approach. (Did trying to remember what those components are stress you out?) Would you like to identify the signs of stress overload? During this 6-hour workshop, we will look at how stress and trauma can become detrimental to the mental, emotional, behavioral, and relational aspects of a person's health and well being, and how the body learns to protect itself from these stressors. We will also learn the difference between disaster victims and survivors of abuse, as well as the mentality that helps keep survivors in bondage. Finally, we will explore ways of keeping stress under control.
