2020 Caregiver Connection: Having Fun and Getting the Job Done

Direction Home and The Oak Clinic are once again hosting the annual Caregiver Connection program. We want to ensure everyone's health and safety, so this year's event will be held virtually using Zoom. Our theme is "Having Fun and Getting the Job Done" and, as always, packed with useful information and fun make & takes. $25 for professionals needing CEUs; all others are FREE.

- 11:15 am—11:20 am: "Shakedown" Icebreaker
A light movement activity that can be done standing or sitting. A bit of activity to get our bodies moving.
- 11:20 am—12:20 pm: Having Fun and Getting the Job Done (1.0 CEU: LSW/LISW/SWA; LPC/LPCC; Nurses via reciprocity with the CSWMFT board)
Marcella Balin is a well-known and highly regarded educator and presenter. She is an independent nurse entrepreneur and lecturer with thirty-eight years of experience. Marcella brings years of ongoing professional education in human and organizational development to her workshops. She is a very energetic and dynamic speaker.
- 12:20 pm—12:50 pm: Craft: Card-Making
Linda Johnson will lead us through making inspirational and uplifting cards. What better way to lift someone's spirits than by sending them a homemade card? In order to receive the craft supplies, registration deadline is Saturday, August 1st.
- 12:50 - 1:00 pm: Relaxation Breathing Exercise
Lori Smith, Training Coordinator with Direction Home Akron Canton Area Agency on Aging will take us through a short breathing technique proven to reduce stress.
All attendees will be mailed the craft materials and a gel hot/cold stress reduction pack
