Long-Term Employee Spotlight: Jane has been working with Direction Home for 33 years! She was originally hired as a Care Coordination Care Manager, but is now a PASSPORT Care Manager. Jane even left the Agency for a new career opportunity, but quickly returned because she missed working in home and community-based services and our professionalism.

Jane says that case management can be a challenging job but also rewarding. 
“I know I strive to do my best to make a difference in the consumers lives. DHAD is a phenomenal leader in the Home & Community Based Services and Long- Term Services and Supports industry, and is continually evolving, growing, and striving to leave a great mark for others to follow. I am particularly impressed with the transparent management team, the job perks, the good training that is provided and the co- workers cannot be beat and are second to none!”

Long-Term Staff Spotlight: Suzanne is a Clinical Float staff member at Direction Home. She started working with us in 1998 as a pre-admission review specialist. Suzanne has been at Direction Home for nearly 19 years in total, making her one of our several long-term employees. When asked what it is that inspires her to stay at Direction Home, Suzanne stated: “I enjoy learning new things and there is always something new so I can challenge myself. Also, it is rewarding to know when you have been able to help someone.” 

Even when Suzanne first started at Direction Home in 1998, she felt she was supported by her team and supervisor. She remembers: “We were having a team meeting and a coworker was sharing some frustration with the supervisor and group. Our supervisor listened and offered help, which is something I wasn’t used to at my previous job. I knew then, and still do, that this was an environment I wanted be to a part of.”
