Stark County has completed the first phase of the AARP Age Friendly process, presenting the findings of its Needs Assessment in February 2024.
The Age Friendly Program Process begins with enrollment into the network followed by a year-long needs assessment, developing an action plan, implementing the action plan and tracking progress, evaluating the work's impact and creating a progress report, and then repeating as necessary. The Age Friendly Stark group will begin to develop an action plan next, meeting in-person with community leaders and legislators in March for a Planning Summit.
