Happy February! This quarter, please join us in welcoming our very special guest, Sam McCoy from Direction Home.
Sam comes to us with years of experience working with Ombudsman services. As Senior Vice President of Elder Rights at Direction Home, he is here to talk about problems and questions you may encounter in nursing and assisted living facilities.
Tune in to hear about when it's time to call an Ombudsman, how to get in contact with an Ombudsman, what conditions shouldn't be seen as "normal" in facilities, the easiest way to make a report, and how to best honor individual decisions.
During the pandemic, all meetings are virtual. We hope to soon meet again in person, rotating our 4 county coverage area: Portage, Stark, Summit, and Wayne.
